ScienceDaily Magazine

This may be the most complete science orientated site on the Web. All sorts of up-to-the-minute science news articles, updated every fifteen minutes, and much, much more. They also offer a RSS feed, which we recommend you to bookmark if you're scientifically inclined. Five out of Five stars!

Physlink.com

A really cool site that specializes in physics and astronomy. Of course they have their own e-store that sells some neat science toys, but they also offer lots of articles and other content. A little on the commerical side - but so what? Five out of Five Stars!

Scientific American

Website for the print periodical. There is a certain type of High Magick geek that we know who can't even begin to talk about subjects like spirituality and/or consciousness without wandering off into the world of quantum string theory. Well, this site's just the thing for them (and for the rest of us who're just trying to keep up with the conversation). If it's happening in the world of science, no matter how elementary or advanced, it'll appear here.

SETI Institute

This group may not answer many questions, but they certainly ask a lot of them. In case you've been living under a rock, SETI stands for "Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence." In other words, they ask the big question, "Are we alone and, if not, why don't they ever visit us anymore?" In other words, if the mother ship is really on the way to rescue us from ourselves, they'll be the first to know.

Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies  Popular

Considering the fact that most consumer technologies are developed for the military, we don't usually expect to see the words "ethics" and "technology" used in the same sentence. That, alone, is a breath of fresh air. This site dares to face this issue, in a style that embraces politics, religion and (of course) science and technology. Bookmark it and visit it often. It deserves Five Stars just for trying to be the technology's conscious.

Terence McKenna Land  Popular

Terrence McKenna, who died of a brain tumor in 2000, wrote the definitive book on growing magic mushrooms, introduced the hippies to South American shamanism, developed the theory of “Timewave Zero” (which postulates, if we understand it, that the present is predetermined by the future and that the end of time can be scientifically measured), and with his brother wrote a definitive text on the I-Ching. This site contains much of his writing and many streaming audio interviews with him. There is also some interesting “Timewave Zero” free software available for download.
