The Sanatana Dharma Foundation in Dallas held its first Hindu Unity Day on the 19th and 20th of July. Dr Subramanian Swamy's latest book "Rama Sethu Symbol of National Unity" was released and distributed at the Event
Dharma Foundation Honors Pair for Efforts to Protect Rama Sethu
Rama Sethu is the original Sanskrit name given to a bridge built by the legendary King Rama, who crossed over to Sri Lanka from India to fight the King of Lanka, Ravana, recover his wife Sita, and restore Dharma (Order) in the land of India. While it is difficult to establish the exact historical age of these events, the bridge is thought to be at least 5,000 years old, if not much older, making it the oldest causeway built across an ocean channel. The Rama Sethu is referred to in numerous ancient Sanskrit texts and scriptures, as a man made structure, and in recent times it has been vividly photographed by both NASA and Indian Satellites.

Hot weather, rising domestic energy bills and concerns over climate change have conspired to make life easy for companies selling solar energy systems to householders. However, according to Cambridge UK based analysts, CarbonFree, some parts of the domestic renewable energy market are, themselves, starting to overheat with the benefits systems being oversold to householders.
Long Hot Summer For Solar Energy Sales
Already a few renewable energy technology installers have made front page news in local newspapers for all the wrong reasons as customers discover that either promised benefits do not materialise or in some cases the systems do not work. According to CarbonFree the number of dissatisfied customers could increase this coming winter when the performance of solar energy systems fall. In addition, it believes that if the price of oil falls some householders, who were persuaded to buy at the peak of the market, may question the cost effectiveness of their new heating systems.

Editor's note: Although this article is rather one sided, supporting only the position held by the Dorje Shugden practitioners, we are giving it space because we believe that all sides on an issue deserve to be heard. However, we suggest that you visit http://www.tibet.com/dholgyal/CTA-book/chapter-1.html for the official Tibetan Buddhist take on this issue.
Tibetans Buddhist Sect Claims Dalai Lama Discrimination
This Saturday, 600 Buddhistswill protest against the Dalai Lama claiming a campaign of religious intolerance and immoral discrimination against the Buddhist community who practice the protective deity Dorje Shugden. This Western Shugden Society organized demonstration hopes to expose what they categorize as abuse of the Dalai Lama's dual political and religious status, by which all Tibetan-exiles must take a public oath to abandon this spiritual practice as well as association with anyone who practices this 400 year old Buddhist Deity, in order to receive a state issued identity card. Without this identity card it is difficult and sometimes impossible to purchase food in many stores, receive medical treatment, and obtain travel documents. The protests is scheduled to take place Saturday, July 19th and promises to be colorful and lively event, with passionate Tibetan and English changt and bright placards spotting the crowd.
