As the 5th anniversary of the start of the current war in Iraq nears, Texans for Peace say "no more to war." Texans for Peace has kicked off a month of peace and antiwar activities throughout the state including marches, vigils, protests, sermons and films.

As the Iraq war and occupation enters its 5th anniversary, Texans for Peace has kicked off a month of peace and antiwar activities throughout the state including marches, vigils, protests, sermons and films. From Brownsville to the Metroplex, Texans are calling attention to the devastating effects of the war and ongoing occupation of Iraq and demanding and end, says Charlie Jackson, founder of Texans for Peace.

A group of cyclists are riding from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon and back. The 450-mile ride and 20 mile hike will take 8 days, from March 24th - 31st. The event is intended to raise awareness and money to fight against human trafficking, or modern day slavery. Organizers spent 2007 traveling around the world working in over a dozen impoverished countries. They saw global issues firsthand. Upon returning to the U.S., they were compelled to help those in need.

Although slavery was outlawed more than a century ago in the States, a modern slave trade industry is flourishing around the world - and a group of twenty-somethings who have seen it firsthand is doing something about it.

"Spirit of Woodstock" offers an intimate glimpse into Peter's relationship to Woodstock and the famous musical tradition that evolved there, partly due to Peter's presence.

Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul & Mary), together with his daughter Bethany Yarrow and her musical partner/virtuoso cellist Rufus Cappadocia, are making headlines due to the success of their illustrated book and CD edition of Puff the Magic Dragon. The trio also recently released a CD called Puff and Other Family Classics, which is being marketed as a companion piece to the Puff, The Magic Dragon book.
