Although this article deals with automobile-UFO coverage in the UK, we figure, how different can their laws be? After all, we both speak the same language, sort of, and Tony Blair and "W" certainly liked the same wars. Besides, this is too, too funny not to share with you.
Are You Covered in a UFO Accident?
Following recent news stories about a UFO allegedly wrecking a wind turbine, specialist car insurance broker Adrian Flux had a call from a curious customer asking what would happen if a UFO crashed into his car. Which got the Flux boffins thinking about what bizarre accidents were or weren't covered.

According to Steven Pfeiffer, a professor in Florida State’s Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems, being a "gifted" child can come with it's own set of needs.
Dispelling Myths About Gifted Children
Though not often recognized as “special needs” students, gifted children require just as much attention and educational resources to thrive in school as do other students whose physical, behavioral, emotional or learning needs require special accommodations. So says a Florida State University professor who has studied gifted students for years.

While most readers of AlternativeApproaches.com will remember Montalbán for his role as Khan in "Star Trek: The Original Series" and "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan," the general public will likely remember him most for his role as Mr. Roarke on "Fantasy Island." According to those who knew him, he was a class act whose passing deserves to be noted.

Here at AlternativeApproaches.com, we've had a long running love/hate thing going on with the term "New Age." The trouble is, although everybody hates the term, it's the only thing we've got. Everybody knows what the "New Age" is, which doesn't apply to other suggested names. Kyva Holman's come up with a new, perhaps more precise, certainly more acceptable name for the New Age. We suggest it's adaptation, so we can finally lay the term "New Age" to rest.
Alternate Realism & the Death of New Age
by Kyva Holman
The remarkable election of an African American junior senator to the highest office in the land speaks volumes to our collective desire for a radical departure from the politics of the last eight years. Barack Obama’s “change” mantra, not new to the American campaign lexicon, took on a palpable urgency this season. A tangle of emotions: hope, pride, outrage and fear, swept the long shot candidate to victory and at the outset of 2009 the world watches and waits anxiously to learn exactly what mode of reality we are substituting the former one for. In this time of peril and destabilization, a critical re-examination of our definitive terms and their underlying principles seems to be in order.

As we move away from our belief in a monolithic God who is only male to embrace the feminine aspects of the divine, it does us well to look at gender issues within ourselves.
An Innovative Perspective on Gender Differences
Traditional approaches to
masculinity and femininity have long obscured and
oversimplified a multidimensional subject into one that
either treats them as opposite sides of a spectrum or
regards them as two separate dimensions. The new nonfiction
book by Richard W. Coan, notable professor emeritus of the
University of Arizona, Masculine, Feminine, and Fully Human: Developmental Paths Through the Adult Years ,
takes a different approach and invites self-assessment and
exploration into the fulfillment of human potential.

It doesn't come as a surprize to us, Goddess folks that we are, that history has misunderstood Lucrezia Borgia. It appears that historians have been judging her by so-called "women's standards," and by that matter she failed miserably (or miserably failed - you decide). Lo and behold, it turns out that she was an incredible businesswoman, and a great success.
New Research Answers Mystery About Illegitimate Daughter of Pope
In popular legend, Lucrezia Borgia, Duchess of Ferrara (1480- 1519), stands falsely accused of poisoning her second husband. Victor Hugo portrayed her in thinly veiled fiction as a tragic femme fatale. Buffalo Bill named his gun after her.
