"Jesus Drank, Judas Repented and God Divorced His Bride" by Steve Brown takes a deeper look at some commonly held beliefs. Based on intensive research and accompanied by hundreds of footnotes, the book challenges common assumptions that most Christians take for granted.
"Jesus Drank, Judas Repented" Offers Controversial Look at Scriptures
Most religious books are "sugar coated" and non-controversial. But, the Bible isn't that way. Neither is Jesus Drank, Judas Repented and God Divorced His Bride. If you do an objective study of the contents of the Bible, you'll discover that God can be quite a difficult God. While much of Christ's popularity came from the miracles he performed, those in power took notice because of his understanding of Hebrew law (Old Testament) and his outspoken intolerance for arrogance and self-righteousness among the "religious" crowd.

Understanding time, at least philosophically, is difficult. By experience, we know that the past does not exist. If you've enjoyed a weekend get-away, then you know that the day after you return, the trip has dissolved into no more than a perforated, tissue-thin memory - dream-like at best. Looking in the opposite temporal direction, we know the future is no more than a hope or a fear. When we wake up in the morning, it is still now. We can wait forever, but tomorrow never arrives. Regardless of what the clock or calendar says, the time is always Now.

Editor's Note: This magick-bashing press release crossed my desk today. Normally, I would have trash-canned it, but it was just too, too juicy not to share with you. Please don't fill-up my inbox with complaints for publishing this. Remember, this is what many people believe about all magickal practices.
Author Claims Satanism on the Rise - Millions Captured in Spiritual Slavery
Pat Holliday's new book, Solitary Satanist, describes a man ensnared by the threatening power os satanism. Jeff Bates says, "It seemed so long ago that I'd signed a contract with Satan in my own blood, giving myself to him spirit, soul and body which read: 'To my great father, Satan ... and in return he promised me great wealth and freedom from the dull taboos of society'." Jeff Bates was not connected with any Satanic group, but was in direct contact with demons that were leading him into the most secretive and sinister ghastly deeds imaginable. He was a disciple of the Prince of Darkness. Bates was also convinced by seducing devils that the Church of Jesus Christ was just made up of wimps. He had no fear of them and, in fact, enjoyed working powers against them, fasting and praying against Christian churches and sending devils to destroy it.

The shamanic journey is common to all cultures (even European) and the nature of the journey is remarkably similar, even in cultures widely separated by era and geography. In the spirit world, both time and place are illusions. The lessons from the other worlds are universally true, drawing from a collective consciousness that is accessible to all.
The Shamanic Journey - Spirit Helpers
by Jan Engels Smith
Cross-culturally, there is a common belief in spiritual help that is witnessed as an intervention from a non-physical realm into the physical realm that transcends, changes, or heals. This non-physical realm is where the spirits dwell.

Pagans Declare War on Bad Pronunciation
Most witches, Wiccans, Druids, wizards, sorcerers and ceremonial magicians these days are pretty much self-taught, either through books, or on the internet. But on those occasions when they get together with others of their ilk, they are too frequently unsure of the pronunciations of words common to their crafts, sometimes leading to discomfort or embarrassment.

When Giten submitted this article to us, he wrote, "The current events in Burma are tragic, but maybe they also give nourishment for The Silent Revolution of the Heart." We couldn't agree more.

In case you don't know, Terrance McKenna was a 60s era visionary genius. With his brother, he wrote the definitive text on psilocybin mushrooms. More important are his works on the I-Ching and on his discovery that the future determines the past just as much as the past determines the future...
From The I-Ching to 2012: Terrance Mckenna's Astonishing Theory & the Singular Event for Mankind
by Craig Howell
Recently passed philosopher, scientist (and some may say, eccentric) Terrance McKenna was a complex man with a complex theory that ended in a simple statement: December of 2012 will be a time that we will never forget.
