Will any of the modern Christmas movies have the staying power of "It's A Wonderful Life," or "Miracle on 34nth Street?"
Can Current Christmas Cinema Match the Holiday Classics?
As the public flips its calendars from October to November, December remains only one thin calendar page away, which means movie studios begin rolling out their holiday releases within the next several weeks. The question of whether or not these new Yuletide pictures will ever match up to the classics of old remains to be seen, but some films have a better chance than others, based on a number of factors.

Documentary DVD "Secrets Of The Stone Tablets-In Search Of Montezuma's Treasure" has been released, with historically accurate information, newly discovered artifacts and new theories about the Aztecs, early Spanish Explorers, and the Dillman Family's closely held secret about their 1982 archaeological discovery at a remote site filled with artifacts, human remains, a sacrificial altar, with proof of human sacrifices, cannibalism, and more.
Ancient Native American & Spanish Artifacts Unearthed In Utah
After more than forty years of research and archaeological fieldwork a team of explorers and treasure hunters from California are ready to present to the world evidence that the Peralta Stone Tablets discovered in 1949 are authentic, and lead to several archaeological sites in the American Southwest, and may soon reveal the location of "Montezuma's Treasure," the lost Aztec treasure that early Spanish explorer Hernando Cortes was unable to fully capture and take back to Spain, as he and his Conquistadors were ejected out of Mexico on the historical Night of Tears.

After watching "Severe Visibility," audiences will no doubt be divisive in regard to what the film is more than implying. But it can arguably be said that you will be thinking about this implication for some time to come.

Filmmaker Victor Demko has turned his own decade-long passion for the wisdom of the great teachers and healers into a new online community designed to bring that ancient wisdom of holistic health and alternative medicine to a modern audience living in a hectic world.
Filmmaker Documents Ancient Holistic Health and Alternative Medicine
In 2005, filmmaker Victor Demko was working on a film about Swami Sundaranand, a Himalayan yogi, ascetic and naturalist when he began to think seriously about the need to help others experience the wisdom of the great living teachers and healers. A former student of Robert Wise and Ron Howard at the American Film Institute, Demko said, "My vision was to pass on the gift of knowledge and attunement that allowed these healers to do their work - to pass it on to those who couldn't make a pilgrimage to a foreign country or who simply didn't have the financial resources to pursue this kind of learning." The new website, www.TheCenterForHealingArts.com, was born out of that vision.

Two years after Hurricane Katrina, as the struggle to collect promised aid, return home, rebuild and recover looms perilously close to failure, a story being told by some 600 New Orleans evacuees may not have had a voice without Taproot Productions' documentary "Desert Bayou."
"Desert Bayou" Puts New Orleans Story on Big Screen
On the second anniversary of the hurricane that resulted in the worst U.S. natural disaster ever ..."slow, insufficient and misguided federal policy is keeping tens of thousands of displaced American families from realizing their human right to return and rebuild their lives and communities." (Jeffrey Buchanan, Blueprint for Gulf Renewal, August/September 2007). Two years later, as the struggle to collect promised aid, return home, rebuild and recover looms perilously close to failure, a story being told by some 600 New Orleans evacuees may not have had a voice without Taproot Productions' documentary Desert Bayou.

Few have seen the movie but nearly half of the public is familiar with it. "Sicko" gets many talking about health care issues, reinforcing views of some and encouraging others (even some conservatives) to re-think the need for reform.
Michael Moore's "Sicko" - Broad Reach and Impact Even Without the Popcorn?
If the potential impact of Michael Moore's documentary Sicko were dependent solely on those who have actually seen the film, the result might be a passionate but narrow conversation among the 4% of adults who said they watched it in a new Kaiser Family Foundation poll.

In 1989, Nobel Prize winning chemist and world-famous scientist Linus Pauling, began his recommendations for large amounts of the amino acid lysine along with vitamin C for cardiovascular disease. He stated that these nontoxic substances are chemicals which inhibit the binding of lipoprotein(a) to the walls of arteries. A one-hour lecture containing this information is now available on DVD. Previously, the Linus Pauling lecture on the Unified Theory of Cardiovascular Disease was available on VHS video only. The new DVD "chapter" format makes this information easy to navigate and review.
Linus Pauling Lecture, "Unified Theory of Cardiovascular Disease," Now on DVD
Shortly after medical scientists discovered that Lp(a) causes plaques that narrow or even block arteries, Linus Pauling and Matthias Rath developed and published their Unified Theory of Cardiovascular Disease. Pauling lectured on the Unified Theory at college campuses and gatherings across the United States in the early 1990s. One of these lectures was video taped and is now available on DVD.
