Spirituality/General: Hope For World's Financial Institutions?

I am a retired computer engineer and an amateur psychic investigator, so I encounter angel stories regularly, both from interviews and published materials.

If it is true that seemingly unrelated events cast shadows of coming events - then an apparition on a Montgomery, Alabama bank building of what appeared to be Mary (the Blessed Mother) is cause for some interesting speculation. This Montgomery visit was the second apparition on a financial institution. The first occurred when Her silhouette mysteriously appeared on a bank building in Clearwater, Florida.

Did these two visitations cast shadows of coming financial difficulties or even point toward a more equitable distribution of world wealth?

Given that angels don't appear by chance and that the financial world has been impacted since 2001, it's still a major leap to connect Mary's apparition to anything financial. However, based on some unusual personal experiences and a strong inner feeling, I offer that speculation. Additional support for my argument comes from a book entitled, : "Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings" by Wayne Peterson. In 1997 I heard about Mary's Clearwater bank apparition; afterwards my wife, Glenna, and I visited this Florida financial building in 1999. I learned that Mary's silhouette covered most of the building's three-story front, as a beautiful, multi-colored creation whose head was slightly bowed - perhaps looking down at the baby Jesus in her lap? No baby was obvious in the silhouette. This Mary apparition was widely covered by the national media.

My knowledge of Mary's Montgomery bank apparition came from a recent personal interview with Bobby Simmons, a security guard at this bank. His experience received little outside coverage. This is what he told me:

In early June of 2001, a light shaft from an adjacent roof cast a scene on the wall of the Montgomery Region's bank. Standing about 50 feet away from outside the glass building, Bobby was receiving an early-morning delivery. As the light blazed on the glass wall, he first thought it was a reflection from the morning sunrise - however, the light was visible on the western wall, thus ruling out that possibility. As the scene unfolded, a white-robed angel with large wings pushed a square-shaped throne down the light shaft to the bank's outside wall, where a second woman materialized. She was blond, oval- faced, dressed in a full length blue chiffon dress, and wore a golden-leaved crown. She was seated on the throne and a very large spray of perfectly shaped roses was draped over a throne arm. It was an extraordinarily beautiful scene. The lady dressed in blue looked directly at Bobby, as though she wanted to speak, but nothing was said. The apparition lasted about five minutes...

At just about this same time Glenna was working on a Mary mural which was inspired by a Raphael painting. During a May meditation (we met Bobby in June) Glenna was instructed to finish this work - a work that had been in progress for over a year - but after hearing this message, she painted feverishly, completing the painting by June's end. During her work she was impressed to change Mary's brown hair and dark eyes into blond hair and blue eyes.

While interviewing Bobby, I felt the lady in blue was Mary - roses traditionally accompany Mary apparitions. Bobby is Pentecostal, and he didn't know much about Mary. So Glenna and I gathered together several Mary paintings from various artists, and by chance included a photo of Glenna's work. We hauled everything to Bobby for inspection. After studying the paintings for several minutes, he then said Glenna's blond, blue-eyed Mary was almost identical to the lady that appeared on the throne in his apparition!!

Since both Bobby's sighting and Glenna's mural completion occurred in June, were these separate events somehow related? Bobby's life didn't change after the sighting, and no apparent reason for the apparition ever surfaced. Nothing else came from Glenna's painting. At that time I had a strong hunch that the bank apparition was connected to our country's financial system, but nothing tangible appeared to support that belief.

During the first week of September, 2001, Glenna and I took a short out-of-town trip. Just before we left home, she heard a voice say, "The world will be changed forever before you return." With no more information than that, we couldn't understand the message. However, during our return home, the catastrophe of September llth happened! On that day, the world's financial center came down with the collapse of the World Trade Towers - this symbol of world finance was destroyed in one short instant.

Did Mary's previous appearances on financial buildings foreshadow that destruction? Does that destruction indicate a more humane distribution of wealth will become possible?

Mary symbolizes hope, nurturing, healing. Today's financial systems need hope, nurturing, healing. Public and personal debt is at record levels, the stock market is wildly erratic, the gap between the rich and poor expands, companies are downsizing, and corporate fraud is prevalent. This financial quagmire creates powerful instability in governments, which breed conflict and even war.

It is my belief that peace is not possible until a more humane distribution of the world's money supply becomes a reality. Perhaps Mary's apparitions do indeed foreshadow the time when this change will occur and peace will reign throughout the world. .

One thing is certain - Mary's apparitions always appear to help mankind!
